The PTA is run by volunteers. While you can certainly be a member of the PTA and not volunteer, many members find it a rewarding experience that allows for involvement in the school that otherwise would not be possible.

You can help on an on-going basis with a committee, serving on the executive board and/or working at one of the special events. Opportunities are available for both during the day and in the evening.

Many PTA members find they are interested in serving on a committee. Each committee consists of at least one representative from each elementary school. The PTA committee chairs work with a team to coordinate & manage various PTA events & services. This is a great way to get connected with other parents and provide some much needed help to the school.
